Privacy Policy
Jae Labs LTD ("we", "us", or "our") operates Vox Document. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: June 23, 2026
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (stored in hashed form), and optionally your full name. If you sign in through a supported identity provider in our mobile apps, we receive the profile information that provider shares with us.
Documents and content you upload
When you upload PDF or Word documents, we store the files and derived data such as extracted text, page structure, summaries, narration audio, chat history, and playback timestamps needed to provide the service.
Usage and device information
We collect information about how you use Vox Document, including feature usage, document processing status, subscription plan, and basic technical data such as browser or app version, operating system, and IP address for security and diagnostics.
Payment information
Paid subscriptions are processed by third-party payment providers (including Flutterwave for web checkout and Apple App Store or Google Play for in-app purchases on mobile). We receive transaction identifiers, plan details, and payment status — not your full card or wallet credentials.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Vox Document
- Process uploaded documents for narration, highlighting, summaries, and chat
- Authenticate you and manage your account and subscription
- Send service-related communications (e.g., password reset, billing receipts)
- Monitor performance, prevent abuse, and protect the security of our systems
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI and third-party processing
To deliver narration, summaries, and document chat, we send relevant portions of your document text to trusted AI and speech providers (such as OpenAI, Groq, Google Gemini, or similar services, and ElevenLabs for text-to-speech). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards and only for the purpose of providing the requested feature.
Uploaded files and generated audio are stored in secure cloud storage (such as Amazon S3 or compatible object storage). Payment partners process billing transactions according to their own privacy policies.
4. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers who help us operate Vox Document (hosting, AI, speech, payments)
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, Jae Labs LTD, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required
5. Data retention
We retain your account information and uploaded documents for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete a document or close your account, we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or billing purposes.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Export your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
You can update your profile in Settings, delete individual documents from your library, or request full account deletion on our account deletion page. You may also email [email protected].
7. Children's privacy
Vox Document is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure credential storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when data is transferred internationally.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
