Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use Vox Document. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. The service

Vox Document lets you upload documents, generate AI narration and summaries, sync text highlighting with audio playback, and chat about document content. Features may vary by platform (web or mobile) and subscription plan. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of documents and other content you upload. You grant Jae Labs LTD a limited license to host, process, transform, and display your content solely to provide and improve the service — including sending text to AI and speech providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights to upload your content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights. Do not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or contains malware.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or to violate others' rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service beyond normal use
• Upload content that contains viruses or interferes with the service
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and plan limits are shown at checkout or in the app. Web subscriptions are billed through Flutterwave; mobile subscriptions may be billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Those platforms' terms and refund policies apply to in-app purchases.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel web subscriptions from your billing page. For mobile subscriptions, use your device's subscription settings.

7. AI-generated output

Narration, summaries, and chat responses are generated by automated systems and may contain errors or omissions. They are provided for informational and accessibility purposes only and do not constitute professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying important information from the original document.

8. Our intellectual property

Vox Document, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Jae Labs LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or service marks except as needed to use the service.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JAE LABS LTD AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $100.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion as described on our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Jae Labs LTD, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Vox Document after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
